Clean, friendly, and accommodating. No frills, no noise, no red flags. Has a bathtub, which was all we wanted after 4 nights of camping. Would visit again. Mattress has a plastic cover, which is reassuring but will make you sleep hot, so you’ll probably want to crank the AC.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, neat, and provided all the basics a person would need. The manager and staff were especially friendly and helpful. The manager even a provided a list with local restaurants, attractions, and helpful local information. So much easier than sorting all types of things on-line! We would recommend this to any traveler in the area!

The proprietor has a spirit of excellence! That said, the clear, professional and personable communications were very welcoming. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. All motels should follow her lead. Yes, I look forward to staying there in the future.

This is a wonderfully quirky small business / not chained owned hotel. It fondly feels like a motel from a summer roadtrip with your family. The rooms are well maintained and the team makes you feel welcome. This is a great option for clean quiet accommodations that are an excellent value.

Aw we love this local place to stay in Norman. The staff are AMAZING! And the location is to varying degrees under constructions over the years, but always very very pleasant to visit. Would recommend to all, with caveat of keeping an open mind on perhaps a bit out of the ordinary accommodations

A diamond in the rough!! Very clean and well appointed. WELL worth the cost. MEL was the BEST. So friendly, helpful and charming. Not one complaint U get WAY more than U pay for!!

Very clean room! Mel is a great hostess. She even came up to our room to check on us and brought a treat for my chihuahua, also she is mailing my spider plant babies to me! You can’t go wrong staying here. It will be a regular stop for us on our trips to Louisiana. Thank you so much Mel😊

and real coffee mugs in the room! The beds were comfortable and so were the fluffy pillows. It was so nice to be able to park right outside of our room, which added to our feelings of safety and ease of accessibility. Thank you Mel and Thunderbird Lodge for a wonderful experience while in town!

We're so thankful for this place! It's super cozy/homey. The rooms are very clean with incredibly thoughtful amenities (..that actually work)! Its peaceful presence feels safe and it has been very quiet here, yet locationally, we're still adjacent to everything. I can work smoothly with their wifi.. unexpected surprise. The price is just unbelievable considering their worth. Please also note.. the office has immaculent customer service. What a lil diamond in the rough! Incredibly Grateful!
